Stolen from Taupo - V7 Parts

Went away for the weekend, came back and the car i was stripping was stolen along with a load of parts.

I first thought I was just the council that took it away, but in the light of day i can see that the shed i had all the good stuff locked away was broken into aswell.

Missing is...

2X TSW mags

Rear Brembo calipers

rear shocks and springs

rear subframe

I dont expect to see these again, but if anyone sees them going cheap around the central NI area let me know.

when I got home and didnt see it there I thought oh shit, the council have been called and arranged for it to be taken away, but they have no records and neither to the local tow companies.

now I have to work through the insurence bull... as well as fix my own car...sigh...

Just contacted my Insurence company and it turns out carparts are un insured unless noted on the policy...

so all parts (including the ones I was going to keep for my car) are now up for sale.

when i dropped of that downpipe (hope it still there),there was a letter taped to the windscreen from the taupo district council saying that it would be disposed of on monday morning...

called the council and they gave me the number for the guy who does all their removing, called him but he said it was gone when he got there.

my flatmate did a clean up so everything that was in the driveway got put under or behind the house.(including the downpipe)

Yeah sounds dodge, not uncommon at work for the transport trucks to flog goods on the way to delivery.

I work in liquor and its a comman to have stock missing. Which is why we always have to check off the invoices before the trucks leave

hit up the scrap metal yards and let them know what has happened, they have to take it some where. you may just get lucky, the cops will do this as well. lets them know that someone is keeping an eye out and you cant drop anything of these days with out photo id.

Most parts have been recovered, stuff not recovered has been replaced at my own expence.

end of story.

but if ive learnt anything from the whole ordeal. its that stripping a car is not an easy job. and you need a decient lockable garage to do it in.
