Which tyre? 215/35/R18 for a GC8

Subject says it all really... 215/35/R18, gets driven fairly hard.

What's out there?

what size rim is it?

slightly OT, but i run 215/40/18's on an 8" rim... they are very small profile, 35 would be nothing.

They are Toyo's proxes 4, also avail in the T1R afaik.

i am replacing these with GSD3s in 225/35/18's shortly.

what brand mags you got? i would avoid potholes like the plague with 35's

No you cant still get them - i managed to acquire a set by chance, as new. I favored those in 225/35 over more toyos as its my belief they have superior grip.

It should also be noted while this gets road driven its far from my daily

I've found Toyo T1-R's to be quite good daily for daily driving. Bridgestone RE-001 also seem a popular choice. Both were around $160-180 each for my size, 215/40/17. I've also had Dunlop Sportmaxx which were very good, but not cheap!

GO the T1-r or the re-001, the dunlops are shit they look really chubby on the rim and will in time get very noisey. If money lets ya try the New T1-Sports Asymetric tyre, i run the 215/35/18 on my 8.5s and they're fine, dont look overly stretched at all.

you can but only in certain sizes, mag n turbo have sourced them for me

can you still get the dunlop direzza dz101's? my uncle had a sticky set on his 03 sti, they were amazing
