Amplifier Install CHCH

Flat4

Recommended Posts

Hey

I have a 2 channel amp that I want to install under the seat and hook up to the front speakers in my Legacy. Have had it sitting around for a few months so thought I should get on to it

Anyone know of someone in CHCH who could install it for a reasonable price?

Can do it for ya including a warranty for $80 cash for a 2 channel amp or $100 for a 4 ch amp. (would need splitters) thats why it would be 20 extra thats including the wiring kit of 8 gauge wire

How much could you supply a wiring kit for a Sub?? Out of curiosity.

depends on what you want really ie size or power. for a 8 gauge kit everything you need would be $40 or for a 4 gauge kit would be $60

The way I've most often done it (easiest / laziest way) is use a long screwdriver (or bent out steel coathanger) and make a hole in the rubber cable guide on each side (so it's still protected from any metal edges), and run the cable through that way. Tape the cable to the end of the screwdriver so you can grab it off after you've poked it through.

Can also use some silicon spray to make it slide easier.

Yes you still see the cable, but short of totally removing the door, that's about the next best option.

One door down , one to go.

Its possible to get it through the factory rubber boot , just takes a bit of time and patience.

You need to unplug the loom and pull the boot out at both ends giving you as much length as possible between the door and body.

Then use something stiff but reasonably flexible ( I use some teflon tubing ) to push thru the boot then tape on the cable and pull thru.

Once thats done poke one end into the door and the other end into the car and refit the boot.

All done now. Massive thanks to thorpy for helping me out and for the beer and BBQ to top it off... what a GC

Threading the cable through the door is a bit fiddly but if I can do it anyone can haha. The teflon tubing worked pretty well

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
