Same tires?

^^werid way of putting an image of a GT350 in your profile?

and not sure on the WOF fail bit, as long as they are both directional I think that's ok (needs clarification on rule, I assume both are directional tires)

tires per axle must be similar ie same size and similar tread pattern'but if you are running different brands then the will be a difference in rolling diameter even though the tires are the"same"size

You would be unlucky to be pulled up for differing brands I think.

My little sisters run about gets warrants with 4 mis matched tyres, we just make sure we have directional or non directional on the same axle and its gets VTNZ warrants.

Measure the cicumference of the tyres with a piece of string..if they are nearly the same its not a problem.mismatched sizes can lead to diff trouble.

As long as the tyres are of similar quality it should be ok..

But in a moment of peril the mismatch may be the difference between staying on the road or disappearing into the bushes as We Are Borg states...

I wouldn't bother

Different Brands are ok (IF you read the link I posted) as long as :

a) size designation, or

b) carcass type (ie mixed steel ply, fabric radial ply, bias/cross ply, run-flat), or

c) tread pattern type (mixed asymmetric, directional, normal highway, traction , winter tyre tread (Figure 10-1-3)).

ie both must be 215/45/17" (or whatever as long as they match), radials, Directional

pretty sure your fine dude

as your aware of it I ran a Toyo and a Triangle on the Avenger same Axel BUT for a very short time for obvious reasons

only thing is that say a toyo and a goodyear which are both the same size and tread and measure out the same will have different compounds which under most circumstances will be fine, the only circumstance where it will make a difference is in the amount of grip under braking especially emergency braking which could cause the vehicle to veer either out of danger or into danger.

I am just trying to give everyone a fighting chance in all situations and tire choice can be a deal breaker

as long as there the same "ie" directional and have the same or similar speed rating, must be within 2, like a 83v and 85w there ok

found out last week as i needed a new tyre and tyre guy explained it to me

also if there directional they must be on the correct way ;D

this. as mentioned there is whats legal.. and whats sensible.

regardless of how close the numbers say different branded tyres are, they are going to handle differently in life and death circumstances.

you REALLY want to risk it?

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
