The excedy organic clutches are good iv run a few of them in other cars,id say there close to a slight upgrade on the stock clutch but not by alot,im sure if its a stock car a stock clutch should be sweet?

exceddy make stock clutches, got a genuine sti one in my impreza, nice unit. i\'d imagine the wrx one is a bit cheeper than the $700 plus for the sti one lol.

And on this, are you planning on any power mods in future? If you\'re going to replace the clutch, now would the perfect time to get something that would handle your future power increase.

Stock engine and no plans for more power. Just refreshing a few things. plugs and filters etc

Stock be around $500 I guess + how many hours work. 3?

well, i know the sti one from reports is good for at least 25% increase in power

but yeah, i\'d bang an sti one into the wrx if i was upgrading power to similar levels.

my install cost $500 cash, through a mate, with a workshop, in his time, and took a while. so tbh, i ain\'t complaining.

Nice.

I was quoted around the $800 mark for clutch kit, fly wheel machining and labor. Should really look into what type of clutch kit it is .

NZAD - Dont. Clutches that everyone has issues with overseas. Think they call them D1? Are branded F1 overseas os summat like that.

STI 5sp is $360ish gen without release bearing iirc. Uprated similar spec to a H/D - 20-30% I think.

Check out pro-wholesale.co.nz

Good pricing on Exedy clutches... the OEM replacement is worlds cheaper than a "genuine" despite being apparently the same part.

two quotes back and they are 1200 and 1300 bucks. sheeesh

How many hours to drop a clutch in?

Pro-wholesale have oem excedy on sale at $495, or hd $575.

^Pro came back to me with another offer. $475 delivered. Sounds like my cheapest option, now to find someone who will put it in for a reasonable price. Any suggestions for Hamilton workshops?

Why not just get a genuine sti h/d replacement? Cheaper than both at trade.

With a release bearing and spigot bearing?

For my 6MT the genuine came back slightly more expensive than an Exedy HD, and that was at trade.

Release bearing is 40-50 odd and spigot is 10 max. Im talking 5sp. Mine was $361 for cover/plate in sti.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
