Tbh, I'd be leaning towards the stock WRX. Albeit 2nd has a 'new' motor or whatever.

Personally I'd take the last.

I do like the look of the white BG, would only buy if some here knew of it and could vouch for it.

Wasn't too sure about the second one, as has had a bit of work done, as you have noted 'new' motor -could mean a lot of things to different people. The last one is what I was thiinking as probably could get for a bit less, only thing is not a fan of the colour, but could paint with the money saved from the other ones (further down the track though)

But British racing green-ish for mad track rep

With white go fast stripes! I thought that only worked for British cars.

Looks like the consensus so far (2 people) is the stock green one. Im going to email them today and see how low I could get it for. I would defiantly buy if I could get it for 3.5K

Honestly none of them, maybe the green one if it checks out alright. The white one has some good bits and potential depending on what engine was installed, but is also a bit of a risky buy with the conversion that's been done. Wait for something better/perfect for your needs. Fuel I reckon roughly 1 full tank maybe a wee bit more if you're thrashing it, open road these cars are pretty good but around town they are not so great haha. For your reference my old v2 sti was getting over 600km to a 40L tank on open road but not all get that kinda efficiency haha.

About 3 years ago I sold a v3 sti wagon in near immaculate condition perfect running order for 4250. Think those wagons are dreaming unless they've got a folder full of receipts for recent repairs lol.

Id be more inclined to skip all 3 and buy this. Looks better looked after and has 600 worth of sway bars, genuine clutch, work wheels and history.

I think you posted that one in my other thread. I have it on my watch list, still a bit higher than I was wanting to really spend, but it wouldn't need anything done for awhile and it does look good in the metallic grey.

I also have to factor in travel cost into my price as well, flights to and petrol (maybe ferry back)

Just realized this isnt the Trademe thread btw, sorry OP wasnt trying to steal your thread. Will see if I can move it :/

Anyone know much about these Audis?

Pretty keen to know faults, weaknesses etc. especially if anyones had personal experience.

A friend has audi's and is building an audi track car and he told us when we were looking at one to expect it to budget alot of money for repairs. Parts aren't cheap

Yeah no denying they are expensive little monsters but it wouldn't be a daily so not too concerned as hopefully kms wont go up much. The WRX did more kms over the Flatnats weekend than it has the previous 2 years combined.

And yup reserve not met Loren, trying to work out what there truly worth.

Actually looking at tm it may not be that expensive... seems they don't really hold their value that well at 10 years old.

I bet that one will go for between 20 and 25k.  It would make a very nice fast road car, way way WAY nicer than a WRX.

Agreed, the 04s seem to be a but cheaper again but the 05 has nicer lines I think. Looks to be a bit of a facelift or cross over year. I think I will take one for a test drive.

Looks sick in black as well I reckon.

Those S4's are a c*nt to work on. Timing belt is at the back of the motor..!

They seem to have a rep for once they hit 100km, every piece of plastic in the engine bay is worn out and starts to fail. And to fix any sort of leak is almost an engine out job, at the very least a nosecone off job. Also have issues with carbon deposits in the intake, and leaking rocker covers. Prick of a car to work on. They also camber out badly when lowered.

However very stealthy for a fast car. RS4 is much better car, completely different motor.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
