Blood, Sweat & Gears proudly presented by Turtle Wax, is set to roar into action on Sunday 13th December at 5:00 pm on PRIME AND – with a Kiwi in the starting blocks for the first time.

Darryl from Auckland and his Subaru are put through their paces, along with seven Aussies, in a series of gruelling challenges to test not only their need for speed but also advanced driving skills, car handling and how well their machine scrubs up.

With the hopes of NZ resting squarely on Darryl’s shoulders, will he handle the pressure, or will it be too much for this plucky kiwi?

Duno about anyone else but it kinda bugs me that they refer on several ocasions to the fact that he has spent so much effort creating an EXACT replica when it is a 4 door welded up.

Full credit to the guy its an awesome car which im sure a hell of a lot of effort went into but it definatly isnt an EXACT replice.

I kinda agree too... Mind you untill your told it was a 4 door you dont actually realise it was.

I think they have been carefull in NZPC not to show any direct side shots as thats where it shows up.

when that car was first put togeather in about 99 from memory id assume type R's were rather rare and expensive
