Job for tomorrow - off a crashed V7

It will fit... just - it\'s about 310mm from outlet to back of the tank - there\'s about 370mm between throttle body and firewall. There may be some work with a hammer involved.

Actual dimensions aren\'t that much of a stretch - 500x185x90 vs 370x150x75, looks like the majority is just using a bit more real estate above the primary turbo so I\'ll have to work something out with heat shielding & the bonnet scoop duct

But when you work out the volume difference it\'s literally double the core size - 8.3l for the sti one vs 4.1 for the B4 one (same as V5/V6 sti? according to the interwebs) - end tanks are more or less the same size.

BUT if you have a medium which flows more (but filters less) you have removed a bottleneck

i don\'t think an air filter is a bottle neck on any turbo street car. people have done dyno runs back to back filter vs no filter, with no difference

It\'s the little things that add up though!

Air filter stuff - newer cars I agree 100% - older stuff... more the airbox rather than the filter element itself being a bottleneck I suppose?

My "done today" was easier than I thought it would be - got V7 cooler mounted - had it done in time to get the lawns done and catch up on underbelly before lunch :D

Still twin turbo, won\'t be going single until something provokes it to happen

Spent two hours looking in to why it wasn\'t starting. Finally found one of the connectors to the ignition barrel had failed on the inside. Was frustrating as all hell with everything looking perfect but no power going to important bits. Thought it was the alarm at first

Tell us more about the specs man. Looks very interesting and epic! I love the attention to detail and can appreciate the work and time spent.. Have to ask sorry but are you running the hydro lash adjuster heads? Or have you just used the rocker covers with the lines and writing?? Just a thought but the old non shim style heads would seem abit of a weak point for a huge setup with top feeds 1.1reg etc .

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
