cheers, it got a massive pollen dump all over it this avo, so gawd damn it needs a clean.

maintenance already taking place, turbo to i/c hose clamp wasn't done up and it was unloading on boost.

si drive in "I" mode is um... tame, to say the least. lol. might take it for a spin tonight, see if the other driving modes are more responsive. the electronic throttle is weird to say the least... but twinscroll purr..... omnomnom

Picked my car up from Turners auctions today after it was repossessed from me on Wednesday due to previous owner owing money...! Straight home to swap the tail light for the correct V3 - 6 ones (replaced cheap aftermarket ricer lights) then out for a good drive. Great to have it back!

Sp; the story goes: modify a left hand fuel rail to put FPR at back; leaks fuel like a sinking ship; very muchly hard basket.

Then decide screw it; modify right hand rail to put FPR at back; so much bending of pipe then it interferes with rear cam sensor: so Make up a blanking plate for that. put car together: start it: she happy. me happy.

Now for a wof.

Cool sh*t man. :) So would aftermarket fuel rails be the best way to go?

ripped out factory headunit, installed nice pioneer unit and pocket. single din units are naff, doubles are hella spency.

however, it is in english, has an aux in and sounds pretty damn good. tomorrow it'll be getting new tyres and i might stick my hks ssqv on it.

the burble it makes when you gently lift off the gas, rpm sustain, sounds fantastic!!! hill start assist is a wicked feature too. love it!!!

If you're using a V7 sti engine with a v5/6 manifold and want to retain avcs, yeah; or just dont split fuel rail. but i discovered today i need a new radiator... yaaay. typical. on that note; anyone got a cheap BH5/BE5 radiator that doesnt leak out the middle? south island preferably lol.

one shot fixed it for now.

fixed some leaks around the windscreen and welded a few seams on the A-pillars and front footwell sills..

bloody hard work on a thin little kei car, had to link lots of spot welds to get a bead without burning holes in the thin panels.

also crappy 10 year old Ryobi MIG doesn't help

Sold the spare one, woohoo

The other one I had to take to a mechanic for it's service (so the log book is right) - $400 later?!. Normal service, changing an air con belt and a set of brake pads

I thought these late model cars were meant to be maintenance friendly

Fitted an ECU kick plate

Managed to find a set of rear interior panels. Ones that came on the car were scratched (looks like a dog was in the back).

Found the reason for the knocks and clunks while cornering - a yellow lighter!

Removed the terrible STI badge that was on the rear when I got the car.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
