good point ....actually though did the legacy have fuel and spark when we had that problem???

Just thinking aloud here, the one cam pulley that has teh teeth on for the cam sensor is the passengers inlet one, is it possible it got put on the drivers inlet insteaD? and the sensor having no teeth to read off?

It will still start with no cam sensor signal.

Cause i put a 2002 rev d legacy motor into a 1998 b4 and it wouldnt start cause the cam and crank had differnt number of teeth, causing it to not start.

But in saying that changed them both at the same time so possibly would start only with crank..

Nah both were different toothed but if had 1 would of run lol

What sort of rpm are you towing this engine at trying to get vacuum?

end of the day, there is something danged with your cam setup/timing etc for it to not make vacuum, pull it down, start again.

Well its alive and going fukin hard. I bought a new cambelt and chucked that on, goes nuts. Got tdo5, extractors, fresh motor with steal headgaskets and all seals and etc done. Next thing after its been run for abit is putting my front mount and putting my coilovers in. Then cert. Anyone got some yellow injectors? Needa get a set and then take it for chip and tune. When funds allow i wanna get a possum link or a g3 or g4 link. Thanks everyone with ur help.

Needed a new cam belt chucked at the motor,or so it seems.

Hence why i was confused when a cambelt was mentioned as the solution.

Maybe the old belt was on backwards, and he needed to hook up +ve and -VE battery around the other way to make it run

It got a long open road drive and got run in. Still not getting run past 7psi whats waistegate pressure. Think my problem lay with not counting the teeth on the belt.
