180 km/h speed cut removal

yeah that cuts fuel to the car - not good!!!

any gps unit; navman, garmin, uniden.... they all go off the same gps satellite and most are consistent to about 1% or so. let's just say the error is less than that of the common eye-o-meter.

My Pivot AND AVC-r both read off ECU signal 100 on them is 103~ Speed-0 and 98 on GPS (I-GO my-way software)

I think i have that in the right order

Not entirely correct. Mine is a NZ-new STI and it has 180k speedo and an unobtrusively installed HKS speed limiter cut than raised top speed to 195kms.

wish mine was a sti what year nz new? as i know of a couple like mine

And people will say but my 1600cc has a speedo for 240 doesn't mean and can get there but my cars geared to go that high, its ratio's are different to a jap import.

Mind you it takes it time getting there as the turbo looses its puff over 240 then its just the engine power.

plus you run out of road fast and the road becomes like ice but that could just of been my shitty tires.

plus i don't recommend doing it other than on a track i was younger and more stupider and didn't think of the big picture.

mine is nz new and has a 180k speedo... not sure on speed cut though... never hit it before replacing ECU anyway...

i guessing mine might of been an option? has a have seen some nz new legacy's with the 240km/hr speedo.

As i put one into my legacy when it was made manual.

Only NZ new GC8 WRXs had 240km/h speedos and no speed limiter as they were in export spec.

NZ STI's up to v10 (IIRC) were JDM spec- 180km/h speedo + speed limiter.

Loren's and mine fall into that category.

Some NZ BD RS/BH GTB Legacies had 240km/h speedos too.

Not sure what the story was on those, local option perhaps ?

Back in those days SNZ did offer speedo/ECU upgrades to remove the speed limiter.

on that note - my 04 BPE also is nz new and has the 240km speedo, jdm spec has the 180.

No where i can test it to see if its 180 limited or not though

nz new v7 wrx had 260 speedo and no speed cut as well

its only the ez30r.. and its heavy so would take a bit of winding up to get that fast - so has to be somewhere long enough ;D

in a 1700kg whale a coupl'a feet off the ground with a slushy box. Id imagine it wouldnt feel nice (or as nice as in a wrx) at that speed.

Mine was imported f*** knows when . Has 180 dash but no speed cut...I know this coz I proved it the day my big end blew...
