ahh sweet as yer : both coolers getting fresh air instead of one feeding the other etc.

seems logical some gains to be had if you can find the room

value for money wise I would be dubious/sceptical its worth it for the street

intercooler piping also tends to be shorter, plus in a shunt chances of the intercooler getting damaged are less.

Its one of those things where the time and cost outweigh the benefits IMO but there are benefits for street and motorsport.

its very $$$$ to buy .. haha in the order of about 3k for the kit. :o if you can justify that - there certainly are benefits.

no need to 'make room' it just fits in factory location and factory mount points believe it or not, has all the pipes and flexi's required and I'm lead to believe the intake as well.

I spent a lot of time looking into this as spool and short piping were a priority in modding my car.

You can only get proper v-mount on a EJ20 if you do it WRC style, and from everything I've heard the layout of the front of those cars is entirely different to a normal one.

The Process West ones are about as close as you can get but they do have some minor issues, such as having to cut the bumper support (better have a nice WOF guy) and having the radiator right at the very front of the bumper so if you hit anything at all, its your radiator in the firing line. They are also EXTREMELY $$$, but also some of the nicest made and fitting gear you can get IMO.

I went for the PW TMIC in the end, as the power I'm looking for didn't justify going V-mount and I didn't want all the piping associated with a front mount.

Yes, very so far. Only the tune will tell but it should handle my ~230wkw power goals. It is extremely well built and fits very nicely. The replacement air splitter is a nice touch. I feel like it introduced a tiny little bit more lag due to the larger post-turbo volume but the mid and top end improved according to my seat-dyno. It stays cool as long as you are driving. If you sit still for a while it gets hot very quickly, particularly on the side above the turbo, noting that I have no heat shielding on my turbo apart from a wrapped downpipe.

Boon- It will handle ~ 230kw no problem, proven up to 300kw in Australian heat, and our 230kw race car in NZ with no issues!

As you say though, any TMIC will be affected by heatsoak if your not moving.

Our Process West V Mount should be here in the next couple of weeks, ready to go on the new car, with an E85 tune to see what the old girl can do ;D

i find it just as effective and alot cheaper if you just mount the intercooler where the radiator normally sits - and move the radiator back towards the motor

still have the super short piping and allot less hasstle than V mounting the 2

Dam that WRC engine is tastey tho isnt it ??? you can really see the turbos angle in the pic - alltho is there a reason behind why the cold pipe goes very large and changes back to small ? expansion chamber of sorts?

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
