not going to make F all of a difference unless you have a tune able ecu?

and most tune able ecu's don't need o2 sensors

+1

but why not use something thats more legal..

e85 man

now that stuff is pure gold for running some good numbers and fully legal as well

I just want to fill my tank up with it lol and see how it goes what o2 sensor do I need?

then why are you asking for opinions, your not going to get what you want to hear?

afaik no one here runs avgas, and certainly not on a roadcar. i've read in my wideband O2 sensor manual that the lead content kills an O2 sensor so maybe you'll need to research what 'kind' you need. even then, its probably incompatible with the factory ecu

go fill up your tank, have fun :)

no o2 sensor will last for very long with it . we only use a wide band o2 for tuning and then it comes strait out after (prolonged running fucks them) . theres no point running it .

you wont go any faster, only difference will be the smell and the hole in your pocket.

unless you tune for it then HELLO ;D

i just swapped back from avgas to 96 (obviously retuned for the 96 tho)

02 sensor is only for cruise anyway .

avgas is cheap if you buy it the right price . its cheaper to make(for the octane rating) and there is no tax on it .

can get it for under $2 a litre if you buy a drum from the right airfield

really how are you goin to get caught ?

eats away at the valve seals :o

Haven't herd of it killing seals - I know of engine with valve seat damage running av gas

That's the reason old cars that where suppose to run on leaded fuel have to run a additive to run un leaded

That's the reason old cars that where suppose to run on leaded fuel have to run a additive to run un leaded

The lead was supposedly the additive that helped keep old seats from wearing, not the additive that wore out the valve seats. They need the additive to protect the valve seats now that the lead is gone.

[quote name='about tetraethyllead said:

Tetraethyl lead works a buffer against microwelds forming between the hot exhaust valves and their seats.[2] Once the valves would reopen, the microwelds would pull apart and leave the valves with a rough surface that would abrade the seats, leading to valve recession. When lead began to be phased out of motor fuel, the automotive industry began specifying hardened valve seats and upgraded exhaust valve materials to prevent valve recession without lead

I know of an engine that had a melted piston that was running on avgas. And another that ran a big end bearing that was running on avgas.....

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
