haha so is it possible to make your wrx rwd by pulling a lil ol fuse out? surely not :D

nope

will make an auto car FWD same as fitting a fuse to the FWD marked fuse holder ( under bonnet driver side in early autos, in fuse box late autos)

These cars are built as a FWD car with the ability of the rear wheels to drive, how this is done and percentage of drive to front/rear depends on type and model of Gearbox

Works similar to dccd. Has a clutch pack that a solenoid applies pressure to pack to increase and decrease torque transfer. When fwd fuse it it disables solenoid. When lock fuse is In it apply full line pressure to clutch pack.

Also I highly doubt your sti has a fwd fuse as sti didn\'t become auto until 2011

and the fabled fuse on Auto cars is one you PUT IN to activate FWD for towing or in the event of a Space saver being fitted

(well not towing becaus you should NEVER tow an Auto with ANY wheels on the ground

the DCCD uses a similar clutch pack set up as the auto, so by all intents and purposes it can be disabled the same.

my 2000 forester had the fwd fuse.

my 2001 sti has the fwd fuse.

use it when you get a flat, put space saver on the back, 2 good tyres on front, fwd fuse in to save center diff.

Have a look in the "FWD" fuse hole on your STI, I bet you there\'s no contacts in the holes.

Or at least, there aren\'t any in mine. Pretty sure it\'s an AT thing.

If you have a lsd rear diff, you don\'t put the space saver there, space saver on the front & fuse in.

& i thought that the towing issue with fuse in was for the raised front wheels on a dolly type -Like behind a tow truck?

Mine was put on transporters when diffs blew nothing good happends towing them lile that :)

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
