oh boy Johnny : not that I am a skeptic but I wanna see that work done for $100 good!

but yea Rimrite, at worst $40 shipping total?

Seem to be reputable enough... Fingers crossed. Worst case I wasted $100 and buy some stock Altezza rims.

Broken rim below... Maybe not as bad as yours...

Was still holding air... Sort of.

Funnily enough, the south island also has companies who can fix wheels ::)

I\'ve been sent by a tyre shop to these guys before for similar damage.

www.roycecliveengineering.co.nz

They did a mint job and seem to be who a lot of local tyre shops will recommend for fixing alloys.

I\'ve also used Thorpe Engineering to straighten, weld and balance a set of rims (as they are located right next door to my office) and they also did a mint job.

And another place I can think of off the top of my head is Elite on Annex road who are well known as a wheel repair company in ChCh.

I\'m sure the North Island also has more than one wheel repair company too but its soo much easier to deal with local\'s....

Yeah I\'ve hear good things about Royce Clive and elite. I have emailed pics to both of them so hopefully get a response tomorrow. Where are Thorpe engineering located?

Thorpe Engineering are on the corner of Princess St and Dalgety in the Addington area. Just off Blenheim Rd.

They are pretty good at getting stuff done that day. I drop all my alloy welding to them in the mornings and most of the time they\'d have it done by lunchtime if I wanted it then.

yeah thorpe is the business . cheap considering too.

if that was my rim id just bash it back out . is it cracked ?

No cracks, just the nasty ding. I have emailed the companies mentioned in this thread. What would you expect to pay for this kind of repair? And what is the turnaround time?

Stay away from Royce Clive! He does a s*** job. Goto elite.

Not having a dig but what makes you say this?

I have no experience with him but had only heard good things until now?

Had a 2 piece bbs lm which I took in there for the exact same problem, though mine was dented buy a rumble strip drifting. Took it to Royce Clive for a repair, fucking terrible job!! My daughter could have done a better job with play-doh! Was rough as, ripply as, wasn\'t "finished" eg polished and smoothed out. Will never go back or recommend. Save yourself the hassle and goto elite. Sharp pricing and quality work with good turn around.

Give it a good seeing to with a soft faced hammer. I had a wheel with a buckle almost identical in size and it was fixed with a good belting.

Just get it balanced afterwards lol

1, you never do a rangi job on a bbs lm! Especially genuine ones!

2, wheel is fixed now, and all over a platinum wheels sponsored car.

I was referring to the wheel in original post as it doesn\'t actually look too bad

What was the cost bro? I have a rim that needs a little TLC!

+2 I would love to know as I just took one of my 19s in to get 2 cracks and a buckled wheel fixed by elite, would also like to know how long the turn around was.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
