HI Guys

So I was planning to go the wetsand route (600,800,2000) then clearcoat it and wax it.

Now i saw this video :

Did anyone try it? comments? what would last longer and be better for the headlights?

I used the Mothers NuLens stuff. Did a great job.

Comes with 800, 1200 and 3000 sanding pads, PowerBall and NuLens clear plastic polish.

Have a nosey in my Garage thread (in my forum signature) if you're curious.

I know guys here have done the multiple grit wet sanding, Clear, then wax.

Probably the only thing I can think of is to use an Enamel Clear (someone correct me if you should use Lacquer).

I just used the CRC headlight doctor product on my Nissan Fuga and was really impressed with the result. Took a bit of elbow grease but the missus helped out xD

Can get it from like repco on sale for like $13

I've used the RainX kit which sounds similar to the kit above, and its great, but the tiny sanding pads clog so quickly it becomes kinda hard to use.

I'd consider purchasing 3 big sheets of sandpaper for about $1 each and some headlight sealer. Probably similar price all up but it will last you longer.

Exactly. Wet sand paper too. That way the paper doesn't clog up as fast. The 3000 grit pad in the NuLens kit is basically like a fine scotch brite pad.

Yup, nice - much better way to go about it now that I've purchased the entire kit.

I did my girlfriend's ford festiva headlights with 180g and 240g and cut and polished, turned out alright but would advise using finer grades after to get rid of scratches. Would be satisfying on yellow as hell lights.

I just cut and polished my mothers honda torneo headlights, they definitely came out much improved but took a decent amount of elbow grease. This looks way too easy!

How long did it take you to polish the 240g out? I would've thought something like 1000 grit would do the trick.

I used some rainx headlight restorer, its not great but atleast my headlights aren't so yellow anymore and it only took 15mins. If they are really bad, wet sanding would be the only way...

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
