I've just started buying up replacement bottles of the stuff I left in the back of the Legacy THAT EXPLODED IN THE SUN...
Yeah my wagon smells like wax and MTF now.

ANYWAY.
For a proper cut and polish with the stuff I like to use, it takes me the better half of 10 hours from nose to tail - ie a whole dang day. I need to replace a few more bottles of stuff as I've run out of compound (the one I use is really, REALLY gentle on the clearcoat) - this stuff takes out superficial scratches completely.
Deeper scratches I can't fix, but can minimise substantially. If it's all the way through the clear there are professional places that can fill it, or if they really bother you as you can see PFS will do a PRO job at fixing.
What's your budget? I'm easily swayed to wasting a day or two on a pretty car
