The only way to facelift them is with a sledgehammer. Then it would be an improvement.

They made the 7 ugly. They forgot to stop digging when at the bottom of a hole, and kept going with the 8, 9 and 10. Then someone found a loooong ladder, and they saved it with the 11.

i think the GD series looks tough with a few little mods, and unlike most (at the moment) i like the ver11, but i have to say the v11 sedan is bloody rotten, now that is a dog of design

i must admit.. i used to laugh at the bug-eyes when they came out.. first impressions felt like it was ugly..

but over time it kinda grows on you...

and the fact that i own one now kinda makes me eat my words back then..

and i got mine really cheap for the mileage its done and what came with it...

I never liked V7s either but theyve grown on me a little too, seen some pretty staunch ones around lately, white ones with nice JDM looking rims are the go i reckon. Also as has been said theyre very good bang for buck, usually 5k or more less than a V8. Have to say though i much rather the V8,9 shape, V10 are nice too.

i love the ver5 shape but it guess thats because i own one.

I don't like there lights but that can be converted over to a ver8 then its all good

i also would go for a 22b if i had the money.

Next car if i sold my car would be a ver8-9 and it would have to be an sti!!!

V6 would be my favourite out of the lot. I can get over the bug eyes on the V7 easy enough, but that nasty square line over the front and rear arches just looks silly to me. And they didnt have the sense to get rid of it with the V8. For that reason - the V8 isnt top of my list.

i liked the v7 but only in blue but my favourite is the v10. not a fan of the hatch v11 but it looks alright. i hate la the older then 1999 so yeah my opinion i do like the newer legacys better too. thats my 2 cents OK!!! 8)

If you find a Ver7 with a front bumper kit with the splitter like the one in the photo below, its jizz i reckon.

I haven't seen many ver7's with this splitter and kit on.

As for other models all are sick but i'm not really a fan of version 8's, 9's and 11's. except the spec c's of course

Mines got pretty much the same bumper etc, i think its factory? not really sure. BLUE FTW

Flaw = steering wheel with light gray insert. Minor concern but has put me off in the past!

Minimal difference in styling between V8 and V9, but 9 has decent performance improvements, so i'd pick that. Biased towards the V10 but that's my all time favourite, particularly the improved interior, and i like the new front grill set up.

V7 i've considered, but still in general not a fan.

Seems V7 is a bit like marmite... you love it or you hate it

6 sti is my fav out of the old school - 7 sti currently own and very happy with it. Dont like any of the blob eye's - and still think the bh legy is a hansome beast!

Haha - thats my favourite bit! Like said earlier it's all a matter of taste? Funny though how were all Subaru enthusiast's and how a single shape change can divide a "nation" Lol. :-*

some wud say that the "wide" guards on the v7-10 is a thing of beauty (compared to all other models that didnt have it from the factory and have wishful thinking owners lol)

IMO it looks like the GDB guard lines and the doors and handle style seem to be picked out of the forester chassis, they have the same box guards too and same style door handles etc.
