Taken from a workshop in Mt Wellington early today.

Taken from in the workshop, they smashed a hole in the wall, cut the alarm and used other cars to smash the door to get mine out.

-the latest batch of theives will clearly stop at nothing to get what they want - thats 2 in the last 72 hours stolen out of locked / secured buildings... LOOKS LIKE NOWHERE IS SAFE!!

..all well and good to gps it, but the cops wont just jump in the car n go get it back because your telling them where it is, it saves $50 a year on insurance - so unless you have big black mates to go get the car back for you when the cops wont - its useless anyway.

this car was LOCKED inside an alarmed building, the car itself was alarmed... short of sleeping with the car the guy couldnt of done much more IMO.

From what I hear the GPS trackers on cars don't usually work in trailers or buildings so wont help him a lot

Mate the ones these days have 80 hours battery back up and work off phone signal so that theory doesnt wash with me.

Send it a txt, it txts you location and can shut off the fuel so they cant move it unless towing and you can set off the horn. Easy. Youd find it no probs.

Are you all under the assumption that tiny little guys stole it or something? There is a big chance some scary people took it so good luck knocking on their door even with tough guys. GPS is a very excellent idea- especially these days where GPS technology has advanced considerably, but in saying that, as has already been said on this thread some thieves will stop at nothing to get what they want- including learning the intricacies of GPS.
