Car being prospected? - Rotorua

Hey guys haven't posted in awhile but I need some advice.

Today my wife was driving my car and parked it outside a fruit and vege shop, while inside 3 young boys (teenageish) approached the car and were checking it out, my wife saw them they all got their phones out and started taking photo's of it, getting closer to them after noticing them heard them saying "is this the car?" "yeah this is the one i've seen around" "ok grab the licence plate" obviously the last thing rang serious alarm bells for me when she told me tonight.

Pretty sure their prospecting my car? What do you guys think? I have an AVS 5 Star and a dog, but thieves will get round those things easy enough.

fit a gps tracker, $100 and install yourself. Chances are if they are teenagers they wont have the brains to get around such a device and if the worst does happen it least you should get it back plus know where the fu%^$#rs are.

Aaah rotovegas. Take your cam or crank angle sensors to bed with you at night, car won't go very far without a truck

I would love to kneecap a potential car thief. I was close once, chased a prick that was trying to get my BC down the road with a baseball bat. Surprising how fast the little shits can be when a crazy white dude is chasing them and telling them that they are gonna spend the next 6 months in hospital...

Buy a steering lock. Gear leaver lock and lock it in gear. Gps it. Garage it. Change address on rego. and be carefully where you park

Thanks guys, confirmed my suspicions!

Yes will get some things organised tomorrow, it's outside my window at night, if I hear something go bump in the night the dog WILL be the least of their worries!
