Trackday brake pad suggestions?

Hi guys.

I\'ve just destroyed a brand new pair of front pads this weekend at Hampton Downs in about 100km.

Rears are half way done.

Any suggestions on which ones to try next on my completely stock non-STi V7 WRX?

Thanks.

Bendix ultimate from bnt will do it pretty well . There maybe more hard out options that people suggest but you can\'t go wrong with them really . Work good from cold on the street etc . Put up with street cars on the track pretty well . Quite messy tho . Assume you have 4 pots ? Think they about 90 $

i\'ve found them acceptable to learn on. they lasted me somewhere between 1 and 3 trackdays

avoid slotted or drilled rotors :)

where are they available for $90? my last set of 4pot fronts was 200+

i had a non sti v7 wrx with the 4 pots and stock rotors and had freoddo (or however they are spelt) pads

and they lasted 2 track days and the all street driving in the middle

think they were called freoddo zero (or ds2000) cant remember

was from repco

i was happy with the price vs usage value on them

edit i think they were ts2000 as that rings a lot more bells

anyway as others have said - try it and if dont like try something else cos they are reletively cheap

that\'s ferodo formula, same as ts2000, same compound as ds2000 with different binder.

a damn good pad, much better than bendix ultimates.

the lucas/trw from repco is also a good, cheap pad.

then there are various race pads from ferodo, mintex, pagid et al

like tyres, so many choices, all depends on what op is wanting to do with them.

The ones I cooked were BNT\'s "CPlus" pads. $200 for all 4 corners.

Thats what I am running currently...

I doubt they will last through the DOBC trackday at Manfiled in a few weeks so I will be bringing spares.

They stop ok though for a cheap pad.

Hows the dust factor?

I can thoroughly reccomend Hawk pads

If you want something mainly street with the odd trackday go for the HP Plus , If you want a solid track pad thats still streetable go for the DTC-30

Much cheaper than anything else that will match it.

another pads thread ;)..from my playing on track days I used Hawk HP Performance Plus pads front and back..probably not necessary at back but .....shite load of dust but great stoppers. Ask those I outbraked... ;D

Oh i love a good game of "who hits the middle pedal first"

I run Ts2000 on my 2pots. Seem to do the job nicely.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
