Spent 10 Years on Kingstars, numerous Track days and as long as you\'re not a dick you wont die

bit like P-plates anything "performance" will just get wasted around town BUT piece of mind is worth the etra coin to some

If you drive within limits whats wrong with increasing the limits? Cornerings where you make up time travelling anywhere anyway we dont have autobahns.

Limits are very different between the t1rs I have now and nasty chinese ones Ive had. If you can corner 20-30km quicker and still be under the legal limit thats not doing it wrong unless you come unstuck. With t1r and the like being 20-40 per tyre more than achilles I know where Id rather put my money. Nothing wrong with being safer but obviously nothing makes you bulletproof except for pimples and drinking lots.

I have Nitto NT555\'s they were $195 a corner + gst when i got them, great tyre, stick like glue, hold pressure extremely well, and i\'m pretty sure they are a subsidiary company of Toyo ( at least thats what i was told) great wet and dry performance. got them from Mag & Turbo

my 2c for what its worth

I run zu37 zetum tyres. They cost me under 100 each. You can try and say they will be a rubbish tyre but we have proved to be the fastest road tyre at waimate 50. Also have run a 11.6 quarter on them. They are quiet and wet weather performance is 50x better than pornstars (king stars= slippery when wet). Wear is good. I\'ll get 25000km out of them. Similar to gsd3 etc.

Anyone that sells kuhmo should be able to get them. They are same as ku37 tyre. Just alot cheaper. I get them from importer.

Anyone know of a place that sells them in Wellies/Kapiti or the Hutt? I will ring around a few Kuhmo places to see if there are any or if they can import them

Been looking myself... options so far...

Bridgestone RE002 $250/corner fitted etc from Bridgestone Direct on Adelaide Rd.

Falken FK452 $229/corner fitted etc from The Tyre Clinic on Fifeshire Avenue.

Dave Tunley is doing some research... I will update with his options...

BTW my criteria is for tyres for a Type R that will mostly be road going... but also used for racing when it\'s really wet...

also driven fast but not racing speed in the dry.

That\'d be Neuton NT5000 not Nitto.

Repeat faux pas...

;D

Thanks Mr Newsuba... they look pretty sexy.... but do they come in a 16 inch?

Been a while since I looked for 16" tyres...

Alas, no NT05 (or Invo - better in the wet) in 16"

:(

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
