my v6 was 2000 and so was my v7 lol and once the mrs got me a present bov and said to the shop was a 2000 sti and they gave a v6 adapter and i needed a v7 one...

Confusion can be avoided by describing car by Model Year, not year of registration.

No one has nicked the lip that\'s the same as the version 6 type r or ra front bumper and lip. Mine was the same. It may be the version 6 MY00 wrx sti comes with the lip standard.

I thought that but if you google search it plenty of version 6 have the same bumper/lip as my type ra limited and they are not ra\'s.

The lip sucks... it gets bashed easily then looks like dog balls. A removable one like the Type R is a much better idea.

A lot of material through Google searches is simply wrong.

All official Subaru photos show the extended lip was standard on all regular STIv6, the revised spoilers were one of the few changes over the v5.

As loner says, they were vulnerable to damage and are easily removed. leaving a v5 look.
