Money from advertising would be win.

But this then takes away from the experience of the foums IMO.

How about those paid members dont see the advertising like Geekzone does?

Then people wouldnt want to advertise.

Need to look at the statistics see where the trade off lies.

The main thing is what people want for the fees they pay. Speak up

Track days? Sure if everybody supports these.

Meet ups? nothing wrong with organising one yourself. But Support the events that are on offer.

MANZ affiliated club? This was a hot topic awhile ago. alot of pros and cons, and ultimatly do want to keep club causal or step up to a sanctioned club and events.

Start some fundraising events... if people a willing to support such things.

Deb was mentioning about trying to get a discount on genuine parts. I think this would be awesome when it comes to oil changes, replacing things, upper cylinder cleaner etc. Be nice to just show them your ClubSub card and save some $$.

What I know of genuine parts is there is retail then trade then people like me twist their arm for an extra 5% off trade.

Maybe if someone approached a certain branch they may give people a deal if it was nationwide but by the time you pay freight its going to be sameish price as local retail/trade price anyway.

I had setup CS discount with local sublab and quite a few people took advantage of it. I did send a message with all the detail in it to most mods but I think it just got filed in the hook up thread and left at that.

The problem with getting something for your membership etc is that the club doesn\'t charge that much for membership so even with a fair few paid members we\'re limited in what we can do.

Best we can generally do is offer paid member discounts on events etc.

Tbh between ferry discount and MM paid member discount I think I got $80 more value out of my paid membership than it cost me in 2012, for example

We\'ll see what we can get going anyway, keep ideas going :).

buy sell for paid members only, but liking the whole paid members dont have to look at advertising

buy sell for paid members only could and will affect the way things sell drastically majority of the time its not just paid members doin this but the advertising thing would be the way to go plus the club could make money from the advertising.

I paid for Ustream membership just cause the ads sucked ass would probably do it here to just dont think however much it is, we pay for membership is worth it for a sticker and a lil logo next to my name saying PAID MEMBER what can we throw in to make it more bang for buck cause discounts for mega meet aint for everyone

If the club was manz affiliated I would become a paid member in a second. I will probably pay as I have had a lot of good advice from here. Once my car is built as it takes every penny I have every week, I will pay.

I understand that a lot of people don\'t become paid members because there\'s no advantage to do so - nothing in it for them. Have no problem with that at all...

The reason I\'m a paid member is to support the club - web-hosting, domain name, club-owned things like helmets and overalls that people can\'t afford or don\'t want to buy just yet, printers, paper, stamps, etc. This club is a great bunch of people and a forum with an awesome friendly helpful atmosphere and that\'s what my annual membership fee helps supports.

I like local organised activities, it\'s just that for me there are many clashes for my time with other activities :( I like Megameets (don\'t need to be every year). They\'re like the larger version of local activities and they are so much fun getting together from all over taking part, driving cars and talking with people.

As to MSNZ affiliation, well, there is a car club in every area on NZ already with affiliation. These clubs are more \'stable\' (don\'t mind me saying that?) than Clubsub and are already affiliated. It only costs between $30 and $60 to join any of these clubs and then you get to join in their events and any neighbouring clubs events you wish to join. And you get to meet more car-crazy people!

Club merchandise - I try to buy one of everything that comes up because I enjoy being part of the club and also I want to support the person/people/club organising it. It takes a huge amount of enthusiasm, effort and time of individuals to run any sort of merchandise sell so I\'ll try to support it.

Done now ;D

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
