Is it just my wagon or do all bh wagons have super light steering? It\'s horrible and does not agree with me. Is there a way it can be made better..?

They do have quite light steering, especially if you\'ve just jumped out of a GC8. Only way to change it would be to change pump or rack I guess.

Yer I hate it a. And yes your right, still have the gf8 so it\'s funny going from one to the other. It just feels unsafe driving it. And no doesn\'t get better under load.

Every BE/BH I have driven has a really light feel to the steering and I have driven a few now. I dont like it at all and have found a couple pull back on the wheel against you intermittently if you keep it turned for long enough ie going all the way round a round-a-bout.

My GG has light steering at low speeds too. I didn\'t like it but am starting to enjoy it now, give it a hard yank and send it round to the stops :D

My bd5b has light steering although my previous bg5as weren\'t as light or gc8s and felt a little heavier used to it now

Maybe i just to used to the gf8 steering as it more of a "sports" car and has heavier steering as compared to the somewhat "performance wagon" gtb. Spose it\'s something I\'m just going to have to suck up and get used to. Least I know now it not just mine.

put a smaller pulley on the powersteering pump, should give you less assistance,or change rack and pump for a gc8 one.

just as an aside does it have the switchable steering, ie is there wires coming out of the rack, not sure when Subaru stopped adding this feature, the BC/BF has a sporty steering switch that made a difference, the later ones went to ECU controlled ( at a set speed it went to a harder rate)

if it has then you may be able to switch it externally so to have the harder steering all the time

My wof guy didnt like the power steering, he said it was like it was turning off and on and I was like yeah, the electrical assist literally does that. :P

Getting a wheel alignment done may change it.

Doesnt make a difference

Well in my back yard I have,2xBF,a BD,GC,GF & a BPE. All setup by the same wheel align guy. Have to say they all"feel" the same steering wise.

Bad toe in will give the "light" steering feel.

Therefore correct wheel alignment does make a difference.

Makes sense, i noticed heavier steering but stronger self correction when going to lots of toe out on my gf8

Yes but they have a different set up than a be/bh tho and i have just had my wheel alignment done and hasnt made a difference

That depends how your wheel alignment was beforehand.

If they don\'t change your castor and toe it\'s not going to make much difference to steering feel.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
