What have you done to your car today?

Fitted bigger scoop today, Jase tuned car the other day big thanks! We got 15psi and then had problems with actuator blowing open, runs great though! and no more rough cold starts! Will take this engine to 20psi once i get actuator sorted and Jase is free. Should get even better iat with this scoop

Stay away from kinugawa internal adjustable billet actuators!

Bugger warranty job? Theyre meant to be pretty good with warranties. A lot of evo 4- running them as the stock seem to give issues and dont hear too many horror stories.

Nah they didn\'t understand english very well so i gave up.

When i bought it i had problems running it on the factory 6s ecu was hitting boost cut so i removed it and hooked it up to my compressor and found the wastegate arm wasn\'t moving till 22psi.. i removed the spring and cut a coil off it and tested at 15psi.. Problem is the exhaust pressure is blowing the wastegate open.

NZEFI have had issues with there wastegates aswell and once changed problem fixed

Installed BC golds and sorted ride height. Currently sitting at 300mm front and 280mm rear..

Thats interesting..so anymore then 15psi the kinugawa internal spring isnt copeing?? What if you adjust it? Im running the same actuator with my mse td06 and have not went past 12psi yet...

Nah im gona bin it, set the preload and it failed come tune day so i\'m done bothering around with it now, going to get a factory one on there soon so hopefully i can twist Jase arm to work some more of his magic soon. Also Roger from nzefi advised me awhile ago about these actuators giving issues spiking etc

Could you use a twin scroll actuator? 12psi vs 8psi spring?

dont think it bolts to single scroll housing. Would need to make an adapter plate

How do you find the ride of the BCs? I\'m heavily contemplating a set and have them set on their softest as the roads in Christchurch are are nightmare. Then come gymkhana/trackday, stiffen them up for giggles.

Plus I\'m on my third pair of shocks, I miss my old lowered height and these ones are noisey after regreasing.

Called up Innovate/Subtech/Highbrook for rebuild quotes, looks like im looking at ~$3500 if all goes well, and more like 4k if the rings or cam belt etc are going to be done. Drive in/drive out kind of thing. So need ot decide exactly what I want done, and who to do it, and hopefully get it done in a month or so.
