Some of you may know but I picked up version 2.0 of my wagon project. The goal is to continue my quest to build an awesome daily/ski-field/road-trip wagon. Previous thread v1.0
I bought it up in Auckland and drove it 1750km to the Auckland meet, Tauranga, Taupo, Wellington, across the ferry, Christchurch then back to Central Otago. It was a pretty epic journey, we live in an incredible country for driving.
The car is fairly standard apart from the 18*7 Work wheels and adjustable suspension.
Lots of maintenance. New car, need to start fresh.
Replace all the missing clips, bolts, plastic and heat shields everywhere.
Repair the damaged and leaking headlights.
Remove adjustable suspension (way too bumpy to daily on the sh*tty roads in the south)
Swap over wide track width suspension components and whiteline bits from my old wagon, then raise to factory height for the ski season.
Swap back to my 17s with all seasons for the winter
Full clean on the interior and remove the smell.
Fix fifth gear synchro, I'll probably get SAS to rebuild the box.
Swap tail lights to later model lights.
Try to tidy up as many of the scratches and dents as possible.
Check A/C system for leaks and re-gas
Breathing mods and tune for 95 octane.
Hawkeye sedan front end.
Maybe later model interior.
Radio and speaker upgrade.
I'm really happy with the upgrade from the 20k wagon and this colour has to be my favourite Subaru colour available.
