For example of Jokers above reply--- i was out with my traffic cop mate on saturday night rolling along with him on duty.

We saw a car with a headlight out at the intersection so decided to see why.

Pulled him over. Well low and behold, he was an older guy. License expired 2 years ago, hadnt renewed it. Car had no reg and wof. Well, abit of checkingo n the radio. Both expired more than 3 years ago.

Its absolutely unreal, and he justified it by saying he only drove it to and from work. We asked him how he got round otherwise, he said taxi. As hard as it was to believe him he swore black and blue. So, took his plates and wrote him about $1500 worth of fines. Its amazing what you find on routine stops.

The question i want you guys to answer.... is what do you want the police to do to find your car if its stolen? They're hardly going to go out and hunt the car down, send out choppers to find it etc. waste of time, and if it did happen people would get all up in arms about waste of tax payers money and shit.

TBH the best they can do is sit and wait for the thieves to stuff up and get caught. I'd love them to go out and actively find my old skyline that was taken, but i know itll never happen and its hardly their fault.

the thing is they do nothing though, I had a vehicle stolen, spent all night looking for it, found it, didn't touch it. Rang the cops told them where I was and told them it had not been touched. They told me to wait there, an hour later they rang me and told me to take it home.

Several hours later they came round and took my report, I told them I had been careful driving it and getting in it e.t.c so as not to disturb prints, they didn't care, didn't print it.

They could have printed it and helped stop someone nicking someone else's car

Thats another aspect completely though. I agree that is very slack, and tbh when my car was stolen they told me themselves that if i find it, i should take it to a safe place and then call them back.

Fair enough to be pissed off with that, but getting pissed because they cant find your car is a bit rough.

Found my car. I have a bat incase they try and stop me taking it back. O you cant do that thats illegal to have a bat. Cops turn up. YOu get done for having a bat. Your car is left and stolen again or taken and hidden. Lose lose.

Dont worry about the cops, take a bat and some mates or pay one of the local gangs to get it back for you. Problem solved. Get it back, hide it or sell it. If its not already striped and been sent to the middle east already.
