ROSE CITY CARS - PALMERSTON NORTH - 10/10 for dealing with

Recommended Posts

If anyone is looking at getting a new car I would highly recommend this guy in Palmerston North.

We recently traded our car in on a "newer version" and it would have been the most pleasant deal I have ever done with a car yard.

Bruce Herbert (ex rally driver of Modem) is an excellent guy to deal with - very fair and reasonable.

We had a small problem with headlight washer (falling out and running over it) once we got the car and he has come to the party ordering another one for us at his cost.

All his cars were in good condition too - if there is any damage he actually fixed it before putting the car on the yard (and has the paperwork to prove what has been done to it which he happily hands over the first time you turn up)

i dont know about the fair trade.

he was going to pay me what i brought my car for so i guess so but that might be because i manage to pick it up cheap.

on the other hand. i asked him to swap for a evo8 just out of intrest. and he wanted 7k his way.

i turned down a evo8 in the first place to have this subi. and if i change my mind i would pay 7k :-\

my car + 7k when its it better condition ,lower km, and has had a lot more spent on it.

Dude.. you serious...

I think you need to sit back and think about what you just said...

I'm sorry bud but i have defended you in the past but your comments are getting really annoying.

Bruce Herbert would have to be one of the best guys anywhere to deal with EVER!!!!

He was out competing out in National level rallies when you were still swimming around in your daddies nuts..

He would have more knowledge on cars and current pricing than you could ever hope to have.

In fact as a lot of dealers do these days, he imports cars directly from Japan for his lot.

STFD!!!!!

You seem to be operating under the misconception that spending money on a car makes it more valuable. In almost all cases the opposite is true.

(Just to be clear, that means it is worth less)

Yeah he's got a very nice Version 6, type-r coupe too! Saw it last Thurs night. If only it was in a blue finish..

A few years ago San and I went to test drive a blue Ver 8 sti, and he was most friendly to deal with. This was before I got my black one. So back in early 2008.

The selection of cars there beats what Wellington has to offer by miles. The Subaru dealers down here are useless. But my last four cars were all from Aucks.

quite clearly hes got to mak money , and i wouldnt say a evo of the same year is worth 10k more , but i notice that evo's always sell for more than sti's

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
