I didn't come onto the car scene till about 2006, and by then Submerge was already at it's decline, so some put it. By 2007/08 I had already gone to clubsub and attended my first mega meet in Taupo. Back then not really knowing anyone...

But yeah when I got my first Subaru, many many cars in welli had submerge banners on them

I didn't realize Clubsub had been around since 1997- though.

as for the Submerge thing all i can remember was it was quite an issue in wellington.

the rexnet guys didnt like the submerge crew,

i didnt really know either so i didnt care either way.

not sure what it was over.

yeah i think i joined in 2001 during a programming lecture of all things i only remember as i got in trouble and had to stand up and tell the whole class what i was doing.
