AFAIK

TCF is the torque correction factor. It converts from the wheels to the flywheel torque.

If its set to 1 then there is no correction so its measuring at the hubs. Presumably you could only "fool" the at the engine figures ?

There are other ways to get "good" dyno figures as well.

yes..

simply by altering the "ratio" figure will make the figures go all over the show.

Rick (ichi) started explaining this to me the other night but i glazed over pretty quick,

*waits for him to come and explain properly*

Yes you can twist your dyno reading, anyone remember MR X's 301 KW std (ish) Imprezza lol.

198KW @ 18psi Ver 5 STi Type R

FMIC, New Fuel pump and Reg, 3in from turbo back exhaust, Link+G2. No dyno sheet available, but for those interested.

Lol i should post my dyno sheet from Apet this morning. I make 316Nm of torque from 1500rpm all the way to the limiter. FROM A NA 2.2L!!! this has to be some kind of record!

I'm a little suspicious of his dyno readings today.

76kw wasn't it?, yeah he had probs with the dyno early on, i think its about right tho as have done some more mods since the last time i was there and got a slightly higher KW reading.

78kw actually!!!! that works out just up on factory spec for a 2.2, maybe a 5kw gain with the exhaust and stuff i've put on. its just the torque delivery and shape of my graph which made me a little sus on the accuracy.

Yeah he had a hard drive issue with the computer running the dyno before he even got started, his brother got it worked out so he could use his laptop with the appropriate files copied to it.

I buggered off after my run cos i had places to be, i ran second and made a early exit.

yeah i dont think torque is converted to flywheel measure, http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php?topic=1835.msg19136#msg19136 my torque is 700nm+

Yeah i realise it's un-corrected at the wheels, as is the Kw. It's just that the graph shows a virtually flat torque curve. i produce the same torque at 1500 rpm, as i do at 4500rpm.

I figured it would have some shape (curve) and not be constant through the rev's :-\

Thats because you don't have a turbo to bump the torque up as boost raises, meaning no lump.

Almost looks like clunts tune.

My GT was misfiring and backfiring and many other kinds of firing and had a nicer curve than that

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
