take your time and think about you really want.

Nice work on the sale though - im sure you'll be sad to see her go.

buying a bh and modding it coz you cant afford to smash your RA... doesnt make any sense to me.

So true. Go for an aw11sc mr2 if you can find a tidy one for cheap enough. So much fun.

I have a 2003 Rev D and never had a problem with DET on BP 98, however i can feel the car retard the timing on 95 feels sluggish and kind of jerky i would still say its managable, 98 no problems at all runs like a dream even in summer.

+3.

IMO these are cars to just maintain, drive and enjoy them in standard form!

Still a great wagon.

Im currently driving a GTB wagon rev C and an Altezza Gita wagon 6 cylinder and the GTB kicks the living shit out of the altezza in every single area!

Nice! Thanks for that! Looks like I'm going down a a similar route.

How much does a reflash cost now though? Quite a bit isnt it?

If you are ever going to look at a single turbo big power for the GTB then avoid the rev D. The lower compression in the Rev C is better :)

The Bh is not really good for modding, at the end of the day you are still left with a heavy car. I have been down this path, did quite ALOT to mine and the weight was the biggest issue, a 6 speed would have made a big difference. It was awesome as a highway powerhouse and did hold its own and more on twisty hills but the tall gearratios and heavy body will always hold it back.

If your thinking about getting a car for a daily and then a play car what about something like a teranno, cheap, comfortable on the open road and you could easily tow/aframe a track hack round

About the same weight as a newage STI ;) and the 6-speed adds a bit of weight too so that wouldn't help.

ahh Dave! long time no hear! hows the coon?!

yeah i am a bit and I think the reason i cant decide what to buy is because all I really want is a V8...

we will see what the next week or two has in store...

tis a sad night though, went for my last joy ride in RAYDEO V.

Took all the stickers off, cleaned out the glove box... colated the keys and alarm remotes.

now all i have to do is drive her to work tomorrow and hand the keys to the new owner...

its interesting though, and call me an idiot, but 3 long years paying the finance company, learning, fixing, moding, driving, im now at the point where i think i know every inch of her. I know what its going to do in ceritan conditions, how to make her humm....

but, all things must come to an end.

...sniff...

That they must.....

The coon is good, such an amazing feeling to have TORQUE! Now thats a proper V8 haha.

Got a Series 6 RX7 race car project on the go as well...

Good luck in finding a replacement. The Ver 8 will handle a bit better when set up well, and you need to go STI. :)

Happy hunting!

Why dont you try and find an old school RXII coupe or something to drive around daily and wait until you save more funds for the main beast?

hate to say it but the maintenance costs would be high on a older car like that.

a little town car like a teg, mazda2/3, thats cheap on gas and easy to maintain (non churbro) is the way to go if saving cash. These also hold their value quite well atm as they are in demand as fuel prices are high.

Nope not at all, mine has cost me nothing in the 5 years of ownership

13" tires are cheap, cambelts every 100,000 like normal and cheap as ( runs same cambelts/sparkplugs as a Non Turbo EA82)....

Maybe look at a non turbo leone/omega wagon with no rust ( good luck)

and i would say probably has as good as economy as either the 323,teg or any other small car

AND they have 4WD for if he wants to go visit the MT :)

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
