This seems to be a rather interesting case. I would like to see the outcome of this one.

There is always 2 sides to every story as previously mentioned 10+ times, however you should never jump to conclusions.

I agree however that there has been too much time taken, and that you should be able to see your vehicle. I would think that the fact this vehicle is stored at "the gf\'s house" raises questions, because what would happen if it was stolen from there? Bailee\'s Liability?

I guess entering into the 2nd deal with the builder was not the best thing to do Should have addressed the original fault first and insisted on having the seals done.

By having agreed to more work you must pay for it. With no written warranty on the engine build this could be tricky to sort out

yup wer looking into it now. Have past txt,emails of him agreeing to doin the work and not doin it,also have invoices etc And witnessz such as tuner and fabricator,head specs saying he new it was faulty but was asking for money from the specs and when the head specs said no he refused to do the stems on my car till I took things to consumer council then he agreed

i agree,bein a small business I new he wouldnt fix the problem an came up with every excuse in the book to come out of it. But like u said if he was a reputable mechanic he would have done it but he would rather lose his reputaion for a couple hours labour

What we are saying is that this MAY or MAY NOT be the exact order and magnitude of events so posturing on \'name and shame\' begs caution.

also the name is a reasonably well known \'name\' in Subaru land as far as i see.

personally i consider this thread nearly reaching its useful lifetime. ra555 you have been advised that dealing with the proper legal channels so you and the other party can legitimately reach resolution is a good idea. No amount of he said, she said BS is going to resolve it for you, and you are only going to poo poo your name and their name in the process. = pointless.

this is the last subaru i took to him, he said it was at his "in-laws", i only took it in to have the left rear indicator bulb replaced
