Doooo eeeet! Although it is defo not cheap by any means. Buying the engine is pretty cheap but all the rest of the mucking around adds up quite fast.

Got a mate that wired up his 1UZ into his hiace and will do for me with factory ecu and lexus box, Mounts can be bought off trademe, then all the little gay s*** but more than capable of doing the majority if not all of it at home myself so wouldnt be 2 bad. His one cost him $4k doing majority himself.

Heaps more expensive if you pay a shop and run a link though

Yea I worked it out to be about $5-5.5k to do the conversion myself with a w55-w59 G/B + bell housing adapter etc. So your about right if your planning to use the Auto, which won't be as much fun :P

And yea worked out about 3.5k on if you went Link G4 + tuning costs. And about 5k in labour if you paid someone to do it all for you.

In the end it just worked out cheaper to buy one with all the hard work etc done.

Had one of the vans make a funny noise yesterday running on the MT and then was rattling like it was the end of the world :( thought the worst (blown head gasket/run bearing)...

After some thought and some checks this morn,good oil level/pressure,no bubbles in coolant,starts and runs well just really rattly, thought I wonder if the timing is right, so removed timing belt cover( 10 minute job, 6 bolts and then some wiggling of cover) I found that it is one tooth out, scratching head thinking how the F did that happen the timing belt/idler/adjuster has done about 10k k/m so should be mint,then.............................

I seen this

Its funny cuz its funny.

...while hes still filling out the paperwork 2morro ill already have the sticker off. Ive got all the parts here 2 correct it, was just for uncert'd adjusties.

You think driving around in a car that is not certified and getting a ticket is funny?

Would be a hoot if you "Not certed" Suspension failed and you killed someone elses kids because of your stupidity..

The suspension im putting in is perfectly fine, u dont know what im putting in so f*ck off.

The suspension DAVE sold u was fine, the set that wasnt u knew about and re-greased. If anything the fact u chamge your every other week and CHOP YOUR SPRINGS fucked it!

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
