I actually want to be able to do a camchain conversion on an EJ, I reckon it\'d be sweet, might cost a bit: you\'d never have to have the belt changed again. ez frontal stuff, on an ej engine, yeah.

a) cost of doing this would outweigh the cost of doing the cambelt change

b) you still require a 100km service sans chain, but still requires a 200km service incl chains.

c) buy an FA20, they are cam chain driven from factory

I want an FA20 lol. but they\'re quite expensive at the moment. I\'ll have to wait ages before they\'re affordable.

Your more than entitled to your own opinion - but it\'s def not a piece of crap - more like a piece of engineering art work - the front end and chassis rigidity took me 100 hours in just 2 short weeks

Lots of tall Poppy syndrome in the Subaru community. Seems those who do something different get flogged by the community and heaven forbid you get a result doing it. It amazes me considering the crap we cop from the Car world, you would think it would make us all tighter.

A bit of a shame really.
