Actually GDB is for version 7-10 (and 11?) and the change in letter is after that, i.e. GDB revision A is a "version 7", GDB revision F is a "version 10". The revision changes are almost year to year, but not quite, it's much more confusing than that, but someone else can probably explain it better.

And I think GDB was for STI's, GDA was WRX
