On the way up to blenheim i noticed my warrent expires on the 5 of Jan, went for a warrent, the buggers reckon its 99DB, FARKKKKKKK!!!!

blew a diff, not sure if centre or rear? but it made a pretty impressive bang!

Get some one to sit in the car and you look under at the drive shaft when they try to drive off

If it spins its your diff and if not its your center diff

Thats how I found out I blew my diff

Thats how I found out I blew my diff

yea I just lifted my gear surround so i could see the driveshaft and chucked it in gear and the driveshaft is spinning so it must be rear, sweet though bean meaning to put my 4.44 in for a while now

Took the legacy to get a warrant and they failed it on a crack in the windscreen which hasn't changed in size since they passed it 6 months ago...

Got the day off work so got a bit more wiring done on the car. Nearly ready for Link configuration after 18months off the road lol.

installed alloy radiator. developed a FAST leak in the hose UNDER THE BLOODY CAR while i was out. What a nightmare. few bottles of Pump water purchased and a few gas station visits and i get home and fix the bloody thing. GAHH

cleaned up last of mecca rusty water stains off driveway and road. i bet no one has EVER seen a radiator as bad my old one. the water was not only dark orange, it was lumpy as all hell. internal clogs galore. took 5 flushes with the new radiator installed to get all the shit out of the water system.

pulled infinity sub out of my other car and installed into the rex. changed headunit to my favourite head unit. BOOM BOOM

modified switch system in the dash removed the last of my gauges!!! YES. wired up the electric seat.

the problem i think with my old radiator was that it had only done 10,000kms in the last 8 years. i only did one flush and fluid replace, and that was 5 years ago. it's done a LOT of sitting around in it's lifetime having work done/waiting for a sunny weekend

removed, chopped up and refitted snorkus.... and reset ecu. Strangely intake noise is now lessened, but seat-o-pants-o-meter says all is well.

Changed the oil to a thicker kind, and put in lifter cleaner.

No noticeable difference in engine noise :-[
