sure looks cool though,i can see how you got carried away haha Cusco do heat sheilds for gc8 on ebay.set you back same price the wrap did but fits great..here a link for v7 ones but should fit.youll only use the 2 bolts not the one for top mount obviously.this fits over factory heatshield aswell if you wanted to get carried away again

It's going to prevent the heat from the engine bay from heating the pipes, and it'll prevent the heat from the pipes from heating the engine bay... seems like a reasonable result?

Cheers man, appreciate the link. I've seen a few of those shields on ebay - all have been over $100, so rallysport are well priced! Hate looking on those sites... haha.

Its not the engine bay heat that heats the pipes its the little VF heater attached to it.

Went to Linkup Paints in Hamilton and got color matching paint for my beast. Really cool bunch of guys and they gave me my exact colour code in a bigish can. So stoked!

Got a plate welded onto i/c pipe and drilled and tapped it for my iat. Hopefully get some good tuning time in tonight and over the weekend.

- Oil, filter and sump bung change. Penrite 10W50.

-Regreased my swaybar bushes.

- Went to Pick A part and got a new cover for the interior light. Ah so much better.

Went to Pick-a-part and got a few bits for the flatmate's Civic and a front swaybar for the racecar.

finished installing soundstream sub under passenger seat... it's very subtle, but that was what I was after. maybe too subtle. now I just need to work out how to secure it there... possibly some custom mounting points will need to be made. don't want to just screw it to the floor, because new car, don't want leaks.

yeah thinking that... i've got some velcro dots, only issue is it doesnt sit flat against the floor, more perched between the seat mounts.

Make a bracket, use the seat mounting bolt

Replaced the front strut brace with a GC8 STi one, changed out the 19x8" wheels for V7 STi wheels. Think it looks much better now.

Also learnt that it seems to have a few goodies, Syms headers and down pipes. Possibly the entire exhaust system. Not bad for a cheap, low kms car

Its on the left of that lower bung zoom in close and you should be able to see it.
