Oil change today, now running penrite "racing 15" 15w-50. Might help quieten cold starts.

Also test fitted how the rears will sit soon

changed pads and fluid, with a flush and bleed type thing too. old fluid was nearly opaque with all the crap that was in it. pedal feel is much nicer now, but holy crap the firewall has some flex in it!!!! anyone got any anti flex thingees? i want one!!!

looking up clutch bleed, as the fluid in that is NASTY

if i\'m right, all i need to do is clamp slave cylinder in totally retracted state and bleed same as brakes?

I found the firewall in my laurel had a ridiculous amount of flex in it too. I\'ve seen master cylinder braces for sale for subaru\'s before.

I\'m sure something could be made easy enough?

bled clutch. old fluid was... well, freaking nasty. SOOOO much better pedal feel now!!!! but damn i want a brake master cylinder brace.

What did you steal that off? Do you notice any difference at all?

its the auto trans cooler off a falcon . the futura ones . with the 4 litre och I6 . not sure what model . the uglu ones from like 01 . got it from pick a part .( it fits in your pocket) ... and a metre of hose . havent tried it yet . its more precautionary as all my mates street cars that want to a track day cooked the fluid enough to overflow the reservior .

also ps hose from super cheap wont fir this cooler or the stock lines . its like 7 mm . this cooler and the ps tank are 10 mm . the 3/8 fuel hose fits spot on

Thats interesting, cant say I have ever had or seen that as a problem at a trackday.

maybe its a nissan problem . or subarus are a bit more under driven than the nissan offerings . the factory ra effort is a joke (v3 anyway )

nah its the big ugly shaped head light before the 4 round ones cant even remember if it had any . i removed the bumper with my boot

AU XR6 and XR8 were the bugeyes, the run of the mill AU falcons/futuras/whatever had those huge roundy weird shaped headlights

But now i sound like a ford nut so i\'m gonna stop talking about falcons.

Wrapped the dash surround in Carbon Vinyl. Looks so much better, previous owner had painted it a primer colour.

Does anyone know what those little vents next to the heater dials are for? I\'m thinking it\'d be easier to just cover them.

I think its so you can test the temp of air you have selected. I would imagine first time you use warm setting it would peel there if you cover it up.

I suspect it\'s the cabin air temp sensor.
