Dumb Question Thread!

Im highly considering throwing mine out and going back to stock lines/pcv/intake. I have no blow by it just fills with water. V7- has 2 breather circuits so a little more thought involved. I have the diagrams somewhere. But why bother.

Are the indicators at all wired into the ecu loom or are they run separately? Have had a play round with the ecu wiring and pulled the instrument cluster apart to find a blown bulb so don't really wanna have to go down the path of completely pulling both sides apart again.

Would the dash need all the bulbs in to complete the circuit, seems like a long shot but i removed the blown one so could that affect it?

Have the indicators stopped working? Completely separate circuit from ECU, maybe blown fuse or flasher relay unplugged. Was the battery disconnected?

One blown dash bulb shouldn't effect the rest, again more likely a fuse if all are out?

Yea absolutly nothing happens when the levers flicked.

Sweet, yea thought it would be separate.

And yep battery has been disconnected the whole time.

Checked all fuses, engine bay and cabin.

Guess i gotta go down the path of pulling it all apart again to see if somethings loose..

On a side note the sequential controller is working mint! :)

Just had a thought. Hooked everything back up and tried arming the alarm, indicators worked fine for that. So i guess its something not quite hooked up right in the dash?

Doesn't work when pressing hazard button either.

The standard dipstick measurements are:

454.5mm to top notch

464.5mm to F

486mm to L

503mm to base of dipstick

I need opinions....

When I change my front end to v5/6 I'm going to get the car re-sprayed - so I started thinking about what other bits n pieces I wanted to get done before the re-spray

I will be putting some wider than OEM wheels on at some point and thought about putting flares on the wheel arches...

Now I'm not convinced this will look any good on a GF8

I have a couple options -

1. Flares on all 4 corners

2. Flares on rear and fibreglass 22b wide gaurds up front (This would look poos but could be an option)

Feedback would be good!

How much wider are you going coz you can get pretty wide wheels -9" under the stock guards so need insanely big ones to look nice on flares. Mine took a bit of work to fit but not exactly a full blown r's garage sized movement. If you go to flares/wide then the front bumper looks stoopid unless you widen it to suit. Anyway youre a dick coz you obviously have more money than me to spend on cars.

Have seen flare kits which add a lil bit on front bumper - kinda like that second pic I posted

Just had a pay review and bonus at work so re-looking a few things haha

Not sure how wide yet.... ive always liked the look of flares ever since I saw this car:

What's an iPhone 4s worth these days?

It's second hand - has a few scrapes and what not - original front and rear screen/glass with no cracks - 16gb in white

Wanna try sell it but no idea what to try get for it

I'm about to upgrade to a Samsung s5

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
