Wasn't me with the def file.  I could never get it to work.  I know Marky got his working somehow though.

Raijin performance (I think he has stopped tuning now) did mine in the end.  Took him 5 mins to get connected and running.

I'm back.

Think this is a def issue but unsure as it appears to be using the correct defs.

Plugged into @patrickc22 car and pulled the rom off it to see whats going on and try find out if its been tuned as a previous owner suggest it has and its running wonky boost levels. when i pulled the rom off it shows all the below information but the "Boost Control - Target" table along with most other tables is not expandable/non editable?

Any suggestions.

appears to be using the correct definitions as below

no rush on this just interested to know why it wont read.

Yea thats probably all you'll get for that one. In the supported ECU list on Romraider.com its listed as DTC def only so only does trouble code deletion and maybe one or two other things.

Someones worked out defs for one specific tt ecu. Unsure if its compatible (fairly sure it is) but theres hope out there. Its a farkin hard set of definitions to work through, but its better than the dtc only defs that are currently "widely" available

Got this working by editing one of the definition xml's. details to come when im not so busy.

@patrickc22 can confirm yours has not been tuned and should be on stock boost close to 14.5 psi

Ok, so I was having a play in the weekend and noticed that when launching ECUFlash it looks for the definition associated to the Internal ID, in this scenario it has identified that the ROM is from an ECU with an Internal ID of: A4SH701H "see first pick below".so it has loaded up the definition from the definition directory that has the matching ID. The Problem is that particular definition is DTC def only so only does trouble code deletion as Andy said above.

What i then did was took a look in the definition directory and can see someone has written a more in depth definition for the 2002 USDM Legacy b4 with the ID: A4SHC00H

B4%20Defs1_zpsdb1m94uj.png

So what i thought is sure its a different ECU and ID but most of the tables will remain the same. so i edited the A4SHC00H definition and told it to be A4SH701H

And there you go, it now uses that definition.

PS. TT boost management is next level wack ^

you know the USDM never had twin turbo, and don't think they received turbo legacies until the BP'X' either, those maps are gonna be way different

wait, did you copy the defs over so it's manageable? ah. makes sense now.

Marky had a whole lot of luck with just a hobbs switch and some sort of non ecu controlled boost setup. Cheap as chips too.

Isn't there something weird with using boost controllers/taps where it only controls single turbo boost and can't really control it once it changes to both.

Nope, only the primary has a wastegate so its the same as plumbing in boost control on a WRX or any single setup.

Yeah, only the early BG/BD's had wastegates on both turbos.

I think I still have Marky's ones at home, I'll have a look tonight.

And on that note, does anyone have a tactrix cable they dont want?

PM me your email and I will send you the hex/xml files I have. Might be the same, might be different.

this is a long shot 10 years on,  but do you have def files for the revD ecu?

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
