Was done at Hyper Drive, They said it would be like a wof cert. not just a look over the adjusties.

Finally got the gromet thing on the firewall that the steering rack goes through in! had to take the column out but wasn't too much of a hassle since the dash is out

sorted the oil leak (camshaft oil seal, prick of a job), started dealing to the rust. in for a warrant on monday, guess i'll find out what else needs doing

"Customised" the water line for the turbo, anyone else face trouble with fitment onto the ej208 block? Anywho- after much leverage and 'measuring' It fits, quite tight though- on the gbox mounting hole at the back.

Drove it, yay always rocks my world. Apparently taking off the vacuum hose for the boost solenoid and putting it back on again makes it boost stock instead of 21psi. Who knew

Thats a handy reset method- if you don't have an ebc, or boost tap.

Indeed but it eventually creeps back up I think did with mine

The stock boost control still functions fine, but maintains the 'wrong' boost level. Most v7 sti's seem to do it

changed my version 2 bonnet and lights to the facelift ones and swapped the rear ugly crystal lights for the version 6 standard ones,maybe swap the four pots nextweek for my brembos

got the cheap 15w40 oil from repco, 4L for only 20 bucks with any purchase!

Hardwired an iPod connection into the factory stereo, just need some more time to hook up a 5v feed to my new plug and can play tunes and charge the iPod in the car again ;D

freshened up the calipers and gave em a new colour. Never been one to paint calipers but sick of the ugly black. Oh for some gold brembos ;D

Went to take off the rear light peice to fix a leak- find out the light cover inside of each of the brake lights have come off, letting water get in... hardware store is closed today and tomorrow, but mondays job is a tube of clear silicon. And then NO MOAR LEAKS

Edit: even though about a million tiny screws are in there it's all gooed in- so when i tried to prise it off I just smashed a piece of plastic out- loctite superglue fixed that... looks pretty bad like that though

3 weeks and 2 days til exemption licence runs out# that's an easy enough time frame to get her going

Navigated Akatarawa Road from Waikanae to Upper Hutt then up Mt Climie to find snow..damn cold. Car went well...got told to slwo down by one person flapping their arms. Shame they didnt tell that to the truck on the downhill side who came round a corner like he owned it...nearly owned me as well.
