Interior trims and plastic parts & bits and pieces 21.9 kg

1 rear door window electrics 2.4 kg

Like I said, that isnt all thats to come out!

not bad weight loss, last time I weighed my car it was 1160kg (dry weight) pretty happy down from the 1270 from factory. quite big savings can be had if you go extreme, looking to get mine below 1100kg.

If it isnt gunna be used its comin out! I need to get the inner workings for the 2 front doors from a manual window winder and dump the electrics to save a bit of weight! Anyone have any manual non electric door inners goin cheap?!!!

Ive even cut out the upright metal brace thats in front of the radiator so it gives it the wrc look! Straight thru to the radiator!

Once its all finished and built I will see if i can get it onto the vehicle scales down by the port to get a final finished weight.

took me ages to source the manual window mechanisms not that easy to get. i cut the whole door too on the front, just gutted the rear doors and covered in alloy plate. I am hoping the teins i put in the car are lighter than the oem suspension items. The equal length headers i put on and the after market upipe should be a little lighter as I had oem items before so hopefully i can drop a little weight there.

Next is removing the glass from rear window. Then a re-weigh to see where we are, I have added some stuff which is heavier than before, so I guess unless I change panels and stuff its going to be hard to hit below 1100kg.

That's an impressive drop!

Today I managed to put in new suspension, looks much, much better and corners flat as a pancake. A large blue pancake but... anyway

After:

Sitting at about 105mm or so, time for a cert. Pretty firm - doesn't agree with chch roads so good but given the jandal it's a much different car to before.

Yea bro. I got a sheet of .9mm alloy from the local aluminium joinery. Was something like 50 buks for a 2.4mx1.2m sheet. Thats what the door cards will be replaced with & to cover the hole into the boot. I have emptied the rear door with one more to be done so more weight savings there!

6 point rollcage kit arrived yesterday. $490 for a 6 point kit minus side intrusion bars. I have a mate workin at a steel place so ill get the extra lengths from him to make side intrusion and some braces.

I gotta move some stuff into storage that i wont be needing until rebuild. Hopefully that can get done today!

Are you doing the cage yourself?

I will be helping out where I can but apart from welding up some glut cradles when I was working at the timber yard the last time i used a welder was when I did my trade cert course after leaving high school! Me thinks my welding skills maybe a bit rusty! Just like my rollcage will be if I dont get it into the car and paperwork done very soon!!! I'm happy to do the seams in the front and rear but I will leave the important life saving bit to one of the guys I know who has been doing a heap of welding lately!

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
