Took the squealer out of the hks bov. Tried to fit it up to make it factory again. No go.

Found the HKS bov i swapped for my turbo smart is a fake. Wnen that person read this, give me a pm. Id like to swap it back please.

What gave it away that it's a fake??

Changed plugs - went over all the joiners etc - put boost gauge back in and it's gained 2psi (yay, sort of) - measured up IC pipes to get silicon replacements - fixed exhaust leak @ diff flange - raised front end up 20mm or so to get it level front to back - flattened the battery in the process so had to go buy jumper leads haha

Oh and broke something? Climate control is not turning on at all and cig lighter no go - any ideas? Can't find a dead fuse.

Might be totally off the mark but my climate control stopped working, turned out the dial to control temp etc had a bad connection behind it. Popped the centre piece out and made sure the connections were good, sorted. Use it, don't use it, lol.

Been doing a few things over the last few months flippen mani. split fuel rails. new turb. Twisted turbo. And few more bits and peices all over the place

What i did on my car ute today... Tidied up some of the wiring in my hilux, hard to believe it was wired by a 'Pro'. Getting ready to sell in a couple weeks/months. Hint

Fucked up some important bolts on the rear control arms/ones that are inside chassis rail bit :'( so off to macbilt it goes! Didn't need this a week from the track day

What gave it away that it's a fake??

Quality of the metal when i took the squealer out. Few of the screws have been screwed thru the metal and broken the back out. Also the fact the HKS is actually only a stuck on bit of plastic, not engraved in the casing as the real ones are.

Checked it out on the net after i had a good look at it.

Swapped it with WRXONP from off here, he may not have known either but he said it was genuine. Hadnt even put it on the car until the weekend. Thats how little i use it. Swapped it weeks ago.

Mainly new turbo, and this time will play with cams setttings on the dyno to bring torque earlier!

swapped the custom alloy bonnet for a standard alloy bonnet, minus the scoop at the moment! just picked up the v5/6 wing, bumper and gaurds will be back to standard soon too. the bumper will be white, and maybe the gaurds too, so for a short period of time, the front third will be entirely white, awesome
