What have you done to your car today?

Was given some LED park lights, so I pulled a head light out to see if they fit. No, they don\'t. But damn am I glad I pulled the drivers side out. Found something I missed when I put the manifold back on, been hiding under my cold air pipe. Blown HG in waiting, that\'ll teach me for rushing ::) Or it would have ;D

Don\'t even know why I moved the clamp, don\'t think I pulled the hose off anyway...

car is currently sitting in the driveway, gearbox oil draining out. unbelievably clean oil, and only a small amount of sludge on the sump bolt, no metal shavings wahooo!!!!

but f**k me that gearbox oil is some nasty s**t.

next up, refil gearbox, and drain rear diff. she\'s getting some loving atm, got a set of wheels for it, and some michelin pilot sport 3\'s for a good price, waiting for my tyre guy to spin up the rims and whack on the tyres then she\'ll be sitting pretty. quite happy

Pro tip, the Link IAT sensor is flimsy as sh!t.

I changed mine out for a brass-bodied one from a Holden/GM (they\'re like $4 at pickapart, go take a bunch off some manifolds) they just require a much larger thread.

Got the GM one new. Was $50 odd then just had a boss made.

Wish we had a pickapart. What models had them?

VN Commode V6, Some Astras and Vectras around that era. Easier to get from a 4-pot motor, the V6\'s you have to remove the drivers side fuel rail and injectors (claw hammer, lol pickapart) to get at it. They also have a GM map sensor bolted to the middle of the firewall. Thread is M14x1.5

So would be on all 3.8 v6 jobs up to VY then. Is that the 3bar map? If so I would love 2 and a loom plug to match. ;) ;)

yeah, it stunk something spectacular. think it was the original oil in both... well, judging by how dificult it was to crack the bolts... lol

new oil in, sooooo nice to drive, nice crisp smooth gearchanges, slightly quieter g/box.

washed it, cleaned it inside and out, vacuumed it all out etc etc, looks gooooooooood

Fixed rear windscreen washer the longest way possible...

Tried rear windscreen washer, no washey.

Got replacement pump from pickapart, plus assorted other stuff for the other cars. Good mission.

Unplugged power lead to pump, connected to multimeter, turned on, got 12v - eliminated power issue.

Lifted out washer bottle, plugged in existing washer motor, unplugged hose, turned on washer, sprayed filing cabinet in garage with stupendous amount of water - eliminated washer motor.

Unplugged rear end of hose in boot, put bucket under hose, turned on washer, sprayed boot with water - eliminated car body hose.

Fired up compressor, put compressed air into windscreen washer nozzle and other end of last piece of hose - heard air coming out.

Plugged back together, turned on washer - now working and washing rear window...

How can such a simple thing take so much fricking effort???

Today I changed both front and rear sway bar links to alloy ones. What I thought was going to be a quick job turned into a good couple of hours as one of the old links had fused to the bolt. I think I may have to invest in a grinder and maybe a dremmel cos cutting the bolt off with a small hand saw sucked!

I got an okay dremel last year in boxing day sales for like 100 and it\'s been magic to have for all those awkward jobs, definitely recommend

So, I went to go put the cambelt on, and when I put the tenaioner idler on, thought the bolt had snapped when I heard a massive crack, turns out it snapped out the spring thread thingy that someone else had put into the tensioner bracket... was about to steal the one.off the ej22 sitting out back but its the older type of tensioner(also broke the cam cover Cos most of it went brittle. :( ) any who, will have to get a new tensioner bracket.

On another note, decided on selling the ej22, it ran before we took it out and I have a full seal kit for it somewhere, suitable for a rebuild, will make a fs thread with pics tomorrow.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
