Rotogrip automatic chains :)

what did you do for an air supply?

It\'s a bus, it probably has a great big compressor somewhere for all the various air-actuated shit like brakes, doors etc.

this set went onto a 45 Seat isuzu bus has air over hydraulic brakes so air was sourced from the auxiliary tank :)

has a switch on dash that operates a solenoid valve which supplies air to the units :) all happens in under a second

With the chains down in operating position

Nah would doubt I would need it on the \'lux, They do do a smaller set suitable for Sprinters/Transits which have an electrical option for operating it, 4wd is always better BUT I can retrofit these to existing buses ( this is the third set I have done) they cost about $5k including freight from Germany, which is about $45k cheaper than getting a similar bus specced with 4WD.

Would still love a 45 seat 4wd bus ( I have 3 21 seaters and a 28 seater ) but you are looking at $500k to have one built ( 250k for chassis and same again for the body)

Buy a mog

And invest in a rollcage

Yeah nah :)

there are a few Unimogs out there that have had bus bodies fitted, and they will probably do the job ok, a few downs to them though 1/ height and instability, as we drive on a formed road we dont really need the height just awd/4wd for those bad days, 2/ with a bus body fitted they can really only accommodate about 15 passengers so for the price they cost to purchase and run they would become a burden really fast. :)

Believe me we have investigated pretty much every option :) There will be a crap load of cheap mogs coming up for sale very soon as the NZ defense have just purchased all new 4x4,6x6 and 8x8s

MAN pretty much = Merc anyway, not sure if merc does a chassis that can be adapted like the man one has, will still be a crap load better than 30 yo unimogs :) and they look farken cool :)

May look at a used \'Mog for a breakdown truck if they come up cheap enough BUT you may find that they will go overseas ( samoa/fiji/some other place we support )

They went to MAN\'s because they\'re a lot cheaper; not bad trucks; but not as comfy as their mercedes equivalent.

Not as much torque as the mercs either; but I suppose that depends which engine package they go with.

My friend in the Terry\'s has quite the tale of their mog getting stuck, so they sent in another mog to try and pull it out which also got stuck, at which point they radioed for the recovery LAV which took 2 hours to show up and pull the mogs out.

Moral of the story: Get a LAV instead.

I\'m about 50% sure I was concieved in one

Horrible old things but the ultimate zombie apocalypse truck - they can do some amazing off roady things given a driver who understands what a 3m high COG and "positive camber unless loaded" means

What? I know because My old man drives a MAN, Adapted for fertiliser spreading, tractor tyres and jewels; it\'ll slide but it\'s unlikely to roll. They are good trucks, go anywhere; just if you\'re in it for comfort: an equivalent merc would be nicer: better air suspension and cab suspension for the driver. But MAN are definitely more bang for your buck than merc.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
