Rocker cover gaskets

Jeebus what a c**t of a job those gaskets are. But no more leaks!!!!!!

Tried in vain to remove a hub nut. Even used the weight of the car on the breaker bar, and nothing. I have some supposedly very good spray on oil just for this sort of thing, and no luck.

It wasn\'t actually punched in... a WOF mechanic a few months ago said the bearing was starting to get a bit loose, so he tightened the hub nut up, to get rid of the

movement... and he didn\'t re punched it...

And now you are trying to remove it to fix the buggered wheel bearing ? pretty much these are non adjustable if they get play they are on the way out.

all I can suggest is take it to a tire shop, get them to rattle it off then re tighten to some extent to get you home, I would not drive far is all.

I\'m not actually sure if the bearing is screwed... but the CV is very noisy with certain steering angles... and I\'ve got some weird ABS stuff happening from that wheel at times... which I\'m confused about.

I know... it\'s so tight that when I put the end of the breaker bar on an axle stand, and drop the car... the shock compresses and it takes almost

the whole weight of that corner of the car. I\'ll try and find a really long length of pipe today.

2 meters of scaffolding pole cracked it with ease... and the CV is going to slide out nicely as well Just need to figure out what CV to get.

Anyone used supercheap, repco or BNT CVs... or should I use genuine only? This is just my daily hack Legacy Wagon.

Finally attacked the silvia.

Pulled gearbox out. Cleaned gearbox bits. Swapped bits over. Sealed all the parts on. Put gearbox in. Fill gearbox. Won\'t select gears. Drain gearbox. Pull gearbox out. Got angry and walked out

Pulled the shocks out of the front of the missus\'s car and replaced the knocky top bearings after having the parts maturing on the bench for nine months. Biggest gripe was finding a rattle gun to take the strut tops off.

Replaced front brake calipers as mine were sticking, along with new pads and rotors. Car drives so smooth now its like its not even the same car. Also got a workshop to adjust my rear wheel bearing as was starting to get noisy

Started on project intercooler sprayer. Failed due to it seems that my rear window motor doesnt work, has 12v going ot it but no water comes out the pipes/nozzle. Works fine when i plug it into the front window motor. Need to now purchase another motor/bottle and mount it in the boot properly. Total cost so far is 8$. lack of drill meant i cant actually mount the nozzles yet.

looking at that, you\'ll slice through your hosing when you close the bonnet... the edge of the stainless is bloody sharp

may also be cutting off water flow because of pinched hose

Maybe some clearance between that lip and IC, I know there is on mine.

oh, that was just for looks, ill drill a hole in the side or something to run it properly. Have no drill at the moment so its just tucked into those gromets at the back of the bonnet,

Finally replaced my cracked rear centre garnish. Only took a year and a half of being annoyed every time i looked at the rear to finally do something about it.

Spent the last week polishing it up a bit each night and looks the tits now that its on.

Finished fitting the replacement Secondary. While the TMIC was off I re-routed my Block Breather into the new Catch Can. Both Breathers (Heads & Block) T\'d together, 12mm each to \'Can\' then a single 12mm back to intake. Finished the turbo install, and went for a drive.

After 10 minutes I started thinking the oil is taking a while to burn off. Popped the bonnet and discovered about 4 litres of oil "volcanoed" out my dipstick hole :\'( Apparently my old 215000km engine doesn\'t like not breathing well enough. :

What a mess....2 cans of degreaser and an oil change, it\'s almost back to normal. Block Breather straight back to its own inlet hole. ;D
