Dumb Question Thread!

Have a little cash to spare at the moment and thought I might get a replacement muffler, wanting for better sound but not too loud as its a family wagon. I have seen these but not sure on the brand or how loud. Anyone got one of these or know much about them.

I had the second one on my old BH5 GTB and absolutely loved it - very nice sound, not stupidly loud, brushed steel, fitment was very good. Fujitsubo is a quality Japanese brand, not that crazily popular/well known in NZ hence the lower price range. I had STI Genome as well and the quality and sound of the FGK is far more superior.

PS: is 250T rear section the same as GT though?..

Not too sure if the same rear section as the GT. Will email them to check. If it is I may well order it once my next pay goes through (or maybe the week after depending on Christmas shopping). In the new year will be looking at a set of these hopefully

I wouldn't recommend, fitted one to my cousins WRX and it was a bit of a nightmare. I have purchased a fenix kit recently, I haven't fitted it yet but it looks the goods and I don't think it was a lot more expensive.

Heard back this morning, apparently N/A flanges are different to the turbo flanges. Might get a price to see how much to weld on my flange/rear section to muffler.

Yup, Got almost everything I need, 850cc Injectors, Turbo, FMIC and already got the Link etc. Its all just cooling its heels until mid next year when I can afford to throw the cash needed at it for a result.

ok I got spotties on my v7.. the lighting ain that great.

what would one suggest I boost up to in the way of wattage??

I've had 100 watt bulbs in mine, but they get very hot and I don't use them much. I think they are supposed to be 50. What are yours currently?

Can you adjust the foglights like the earlier model ones? I'd adjust them to point up a little.

Or just get decent headlights

Foglights are meant for y'know, fog and not pointing forwards like high beams

Re: the muffler - any exhaust shop can bung a barrel muffler onto a pipe for under $50, its just attaching a pipe to a pipe and maybe bending a mounting bracket to suit, don't stress

To be blunt the muffler for a turbo model likely won't sound the same on an n/a one - the turbo cuts out a heap of raspyness and on a suby you can almost get away with nothing but a straight pipe (my last one still passes wofs with nothing but a hollowed out trust muffler and no reso's) - an n/a model on the other hand will likely need something to dampen the noise so to speak. It might be fine just don't be expecting the same sound is all

Yeah wasn't looking t get same sound, just wanting a little louder to what I have now. The idea is to do the exhaust in stages when money available. First muffler, then headers early next year, and maybe mid section after that. Not looking for anything in performance gains as such just wanting to sound better

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
