Brought it home (97 GTB Man in rare-as white)

Got to have a bit more of an in-depth look at it, found the bonnet isn't just sitting a bit high, it's just plain bent a bit... So new bonnet needed, joy.

Also heard a mystery whine after about 2 hours driving it, could be diff, could be gbox (still does it in neutral), could be something to ignore for now till it gets louder.

Got head unit installed, some people are mongrels ripping them out of cars! Cut the wires as far back as they could have inside the dash, sasquatch hands do not agree too well with that confined space. Bonus being I then found it had $500 worth of speakers in it.

Found 3" Y pipe back exhaust, yay, thought it just had a big muff. Found 100mm ground clearance, boo, perfect for quakechurch rds, hadn't noticed it was that low when buying it... Meh legal is legal.

That is all

whine in neutral with clutch out and stops with clutch in ? whines when driving ? if it whines while driving its more than likely gearbox bearings - if only whining in neutral with clutch out and not whining while driving its more than likely release bearing

if it whining in neutral while rolling and not when standing still it could be diff or wheel bearing - they both will increase in noise with speed - a diff you can noticably hear the change over between drive and decell sides

Went F**k F**k F**kity F**k at it...

The alternator is dying (I think) thats my diagnosis due to mysterious random CEL, stereo and Aircon unit not operating properly and battery (brand new I might F**king add) required jump start

Well cant complain really it only had a 2 issues in the last 7 years of ownership...

Topped up oil and water in the gtb for the missus. Wondering why the legacy always only has 1/2 a header tank of water. Uses no more or no less but always has half a tank, not 3/4 or full.

What I have found is that most vehicles will have a level that it is happy with, u can fill it up as much as u like but it always ends up at its level

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
