What have you done to your car today?

well.. I haven\'t done anything as such to my car.. but let me tell you whats wrong with it..

Overheated yesterday - Radiator was only a year old, apparently not blocked. No circulation of water so possibly waterpump which was only replaced at 117000km. now currently at 147000km. So thats being sorted on Monday.

Needs new brakes - fronts and rears

Burns oil some how - doesn\'t leak or blow smoke so lost with this one.

Knockng noise coming from RH front when i go over bumps - I think possibly the drive to the front wheels as that had a mm play when i checked last week, could also be sway bar bushes or shock absorbers so I was told.

Fixing one step at a time...

I think this is under the wrong post. And if anyone has any ideas on what my problems are, please let me know.

Got my rear camber plates in

IMG_20130413_102234_zps57443912.jpg

Cut my bumper up, removed the mounting bolt and flattened the tab up, remounted bumper with cable ties, hammered the bulge above the arch up flat.

Way less rubbing now but with the camber now i\'m getting wheel lip hitting the guard on big bumps

Ongoing urgent maintenance to the new car. Stupid Japanese owner didn\'t do any servicing for 80,000km!

So far:

Spark plugs

Engine oil

Transmission oil

Wheel alignment + camber bolts (completely out, running positive camber on front right and negative camber on front left!)

Replace crazy Japanese GPS stereo with something useable

Almost there, just need to flush the brakes and fit better pads next week. Big thanks to spark38 and mattapo for all your help!

Just done plugs, and found the afm i thought was stuffed... isnt

gave it a super clean, used a cotton bud on the mirror bit (bear in mind i already bought a new one and thought this one was toast anyway), it drives perfectly now, had a random surge coming on boost ive been scratching my head over for days. so i now have a spare afm for when the current one inevitably dies

pretty sure air filter is super blocked / dirty, got a new one coming, would make sense given it saw gravel roadworks daily for a year i suppose. tried to clean it out a bit which has semi helped, induction sucky noise got mucho loudero (yay)

oh and the fcking alarm has now set itself back to default settings, so it self arms after 20 seconds and drives me mental... one thing after another at the moment, nice if bits would stop breaking so i can spend money on things to make it break more

It\'s ok Marky, my alarm key broke off my key ring and the arm/disarm button has a big hole in it so it\'s struggling to arm/ disarm >:( stupid previous girl owner using nails to press the button. And I have the same problem, heaps of shit I\'d rather buy and instead having to do essential stuff! This should be my what grinds my gears post lol :)

Because the strut tops are so close to the fire, wall the effects are minimal compared,to say a Nissan where the strut top is half way up the engine bay

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
